Advertising Disclosure

This site is not currently running advertising. This page describes how advertising will be disclosed if and when it is enabled, so the policy is in place before any ad appears rather than after.

Current status

Ask Doctor Chung does not currently display third party advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links. No part of this site should be interpreted as an active advertisement or paid placement unless explicitly labeled as one.

If advertising is enabled

If display advertising, such as Google AdSense, is enabled in the future, ads will be visually distinguishable from editorial content. Planned locations for future ad placement include after an article's introduction, within the middle of longer articles, after the main article content, and between sections of the homepage. Ads will not be placed directly beside emergency or urgent medical warnings, and will not be styled to resemble site navigation.

Editorial independence

Advertising, if and when active, will never determine which topics this site covers or what conclusions an article reaches. See the Editorial Policy page for more on how content decisions are made.

Sponsored content

This site does not currently publish sponsored articles. If that changes, any sponsored or paid content will be clearly labeled as such at the top of the article, distinct from regular editorial content.

Affiliate relationships

This site does not currently participate in affiliate marketing programs. If a product or service mentioned in an article is ever part of an affiliate relationship, that relationship will be disclosed directly within the article, near the mention.

Questions

Questions about this disclosure can be directed through the Contact page once a monitored channel is available.
